No, your purchase is not tax deductible.
- Who do I make out my check to?

- How can I make the most of this campaign?
To make the most of this campaign is to participate. Even if you only purchase a small amount of groceries per week at Giant Eagle, please still consider participating.
The second way to make the most of this campaign is to increase the amount of cards you purchase from MCC. For example, one could purchase Giant Eagle gift cards from MCC and then purchase other gift cards at Giant Eagle for stores that you already frequent. For example, if you will be eating out at Atria’s in Murrysville (or any of their other locations), purchase your Giant Eagle gift cards at MCC (MCC makes 5% of your purchase), purchase, the Atria’s gift cards at Giant Eagle, then use the cards at Atria’s to pay for your meal.
The third way to make the most of this campaign is to tell your friends and family about this campaign and encourage them to purchase Giant Eagle gift cards from Murrysville Community Church.
- Can people outside of MCC purchase the Giant Eagle Gift Cards?
YES!! Anyone can purchase the Giant Eagle gift cards from MCC. The more we sell, the more money the Walking the Path capital campaign makes.
- Are there other gift cards available?
Yes! We also have gift cards for Panera in addition to our Giant Eagle gift cards. MCC makes 10% from Panera gift cards.
- Is there a limit to the amount that I can purchase?
No, but if you have an order over $1,000, we would ask that you let us know so we can be prepared. We welcome all purchases, as the more we sell, the more money will be raised for the Walking the Path capital campaign.
- Can I pay with cash?
We prefer a check made out to Murrysville Community Church with “gift cards” written in the memo section, but we will take cash payments.
- Can I pay with a credit or debit card? Why not?
At this time we are not accepting credit or debit cards due to the fees and expenses related to these transactions.
- How much money does the Walking the Path committee expect to make with this campaign?
Since the Walking the Path capital campaign makes 5% of each purchase, we could make tens of thousands of dollars during the capital campaign. It all depends on the number of people participating and the amount of gift cards that are purchased. Here are some examples.
If 100 families each purchase $100 in Giant Eagle gift cards per week ($400 per month), the Walking the Path capital campaign would make $2,000 per month! This would result in $24,000 per year for the campaign or almost $100,000 in 4 years!
If 50 families each purchase $150 of Giant Eagle gift cards per week ($600 per month), the Walking the Path capital campaign would make $1,500 per month. This would result in $18,000 per year for the campaign or almost $75,000 in 4 years!
- What do I need to do to make this successful?
We need as many people in the church as possible to participate. If you shop at Giant Eagle, please consider purchasing Giant Eagle Gift Cards to use for your regular purchases, as well as to purchase other gift cards, or GetGo gas. Every little bit helps.
